Edge Hill University Tops 2026 National Student Survey

Edge Hill University has once again demonstrated its status as a leading regional institution by achieving outstanding results in the newly released 2026 National Student Survey (NSS). The Ormskirk-based university outperformed the UK sector average in several key categories, with students praising its exceptional learning resources, supportive assessment feedback, and the genuine voice they have in their education.

University-Wide Effort Praised

Professor Kurt Allman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said: “We are all thrilled by this year’s NSS results. They are clear evidence of how committed we are to providing the best possible experience for students. I’d like to thank all our colleagues for continuing to place student development and wellbeing at the centre of their efforts, this is a wonderful reward for them to know their hard work is having an impact in such a meaningful way.”

The success is the result of a university-wide effort, with teams from all departments – from frontline student-facing roles to senior leadership – listening carefully to student feedback and encouraging participation in the NSS. Edge Hill continually seeks student input through its internal Student Voice Surveys, using this feedback to enhance courses, facilities, and support services.
