Parents across the Midlands are celebrating as Merry Hill shopping centre confirms the opening of ebebek, a parenting store that marks the brand's first location outside Greater London. The Turkish retailer will occupy a 10,000-square-foot space on the Lower Mall, next to ASDA, believed to be the former Peacocks unit.
What the Store Will Offer
The new ebebek store will provide an extensive range of baby and parenting essentials, including car seats, pushchairs, nursery furniture, clothing, and toys. Families can shop from trusted brands such as Graco, Johnson's Baby, and Tommee Tippee. Many locals have described it as 'the new Mothercare', with one soon-to-be grandmother expressing excitement: 'I hope it will be like the old Mothercare store. I'm not an internet buyer, and excited I've got my first grandchild on the way.'
Opening Timeline and Centre Developments
While no official opening date has been confirmed, centre bosses have announced it will be 'this autumn'. The arrival follows a string of recent store openings at Merry Hill, including MINISO and Ben & Jerry's. Additionally, an expanded Superdrug store is set to double its footprint, becoming one of the brand's largest UK stores.
