Trent Dementia, a Nottingham-based charity, is organizing a special breakfast gathering aimed at supporting local men impacted by dementia. The event welcomes individuals living with the condition, as well as male carers, relatives, and close friends, providing a safe space to share experiences and concerns over food.
Event Details and Funding
The session will take place on Wednesday, July 22, from 10:30 am to noon in the education room at Stonebridge City Farm and Gardens in Nottingham. Attendance is free, but booking is required to ensure accurate catering. Attendees can enjoy a hot drink and a breakfast roll during the morning meeting.
Funding for this initiative has been provided by the McCarthy Stone Foundation, supporting the charity's dedicated project to help people connect.
Building a Supportive Network
The project aims to create a supportive network for men who often face unique challenges when navigating a dementia diagnosis. It is open to partners, sons, fathers, grandsons, nephews, and any male friends seeking guidance. Organizers emphasize the importance of connecting local carers and families to foster mutual support.
Spaces must be reserved in advance. To book a place and order food, contact Suzanne on 07300 657575 or email contact@trentdementia.org.uk.
