The family of a 'kind' and 'much loved' Midlands mother have paid heartfelt tribute following her tragic death, with plans to give her a dignified farewell that reflects her generous spirit.
A Devoted Mother and Educator
Michelle Fisher, a teaching assistant from Staffordshire, ended her own life on February 20 after experiencing a difficult period. Her family are now raising funds to cover funeral expenses and provide support as they navigate life without her.
Currently, £4,800 has been donated, which is more than half of the £7,500 target. The family expressed their deep loss, stating Michelle brought warmth into every room and had a natural ability to make people feel cared for through her kindness and humour.
Community Pillar and Family Heart
Michelle was a devoted mother of three, with everything she did revolving around ensuring her children felt supported, loved, and encouraged. Her absence has left a profound void, with everyday moments feeling completely different for the grieving family.
She worked as a teaching assistant at West Hill Primary School for nearly a decade, becoming a familiar and cherished figure in the local community. Her natural warmth made children feel comfortable, and many parents praised the care she showed.
Passions and Personal Life
Beyond her professional role, Michelle adored her Labrador, Luna, who was a constant companion. She was also deeply devoted to her son's football team, always on the sidelines at matches and often helping by serving refreshments to other supporters.
Saturday afternoons were among her favourite times, spent watching Hednesford Town FC, known as 'The Pitmen', and enjoying the atmosphere with friends and family. She created a life filled with love, loyalty, and strong community ties.
Fundraiser for a Heartfelt Farewell
The family emphasised that the fundraiser will help give Michelle a dignified and heartfelt farewell, reflecting her loving and generous nature. It also alleviates financial stress during an overwhelming time and provides security as they adjust to their loss.
They described Michelle as someone who always put others before herself, and her memory continues to inspire those who knew her. The community's support has been a source of comfort during this challenging period.
