Health Warning

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an alert, stating: “The product contains wheat (gluten), making it a health risk to those with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or those with coeliac disease.”

Daylesford Organic Ltd is recalling the product and will display point-of-sale notices in all retail stores and on their website. These notices explain why the product is being recalled and advise customers on what to do if they have purchased it.

What Customers Should Do

The FSA advises: “If you have bought this product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten or have coeliac disease, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from which you bought the product for a full refund.”

For further information, customers can call 01608 692 871 or email guest.services@daylesford.com.

Understanding Recalls

The FSA explains that sometimes a food product may be withdrawn (taken off shelves) or recalled (customers asked to return it) if there is a risk to consumers, such as missing or incorrect allergy labelling. When a food allergy risk is identified, the FSA issues an Allergy Alert to protect public health.
