A post-mortem examination conducted by Warwickshire Police confirmed that he died from injuries consistent with an assault. The investigation has led to the arrest of five people in total, including a 44-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, both from Leamington, arrested on suspicion of murder. A 53-year-old man from Leamington, initially arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released with no further action.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Gareth Unett of Warwickshire Police emphasized the need for information about Mr. Lucas’s movements in the hours before his death. “We’re really keen to work out where Adam went and what he did in the hours before he died, and we’re urging anyone with information to get in touch. We’re confident someone knows what happened and may not yet have come forward,” Unett said. He acknowledged that potential witnesses might have concerns about speaking to police but urged them to come forward to help secure justice.
Police are particularly interested in any sightings or information about Mr. Lucas’s activities in the eight hours before he was found. They are also seeking to understand why he might have been assaulted and who may have been involved. A force spokesperson added that thousands of hours of CCTV footage have been seized and reviewed, and officers have spoken to local residents to build a clearer picture of the events leading to his death.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation remains active, with authorities asking anyone with information to contact them via the force's online portal, quoting incident number 68 of April 15. The appeal underscores the belief that someone in the community holds key details that could solve the case.
