West Midlands Police executed warrants at ten addresses across Birmingham this morning, resulting in the seizure of a significant quantity of Class-A drugs, cash, and weapons. Six individuals have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class-A drugs.
Raids Target County Lines Drug Supply
Officers from the County Lines Task Force (CLTF) forced their way into properties across the city in a coordinated operation. A video released by the force shows police breaching doors and securing evidence, including crack cocaine, heroin, and money. Weapons were also recovered during the raids.
Six Arrested, Remain in Custody
Five men and one woman were taken into custody. Among those arrested are four men and a woman, all in their 20s, along with a 50-year-old man. All six remain in police custody for questioning.
Police Statement on Operation
Detective Inspector Mark Robinson, from the CLTF, said: "My team have executed warrants at 10 addresses this morning across Birmingham. We currently have six people in custody. We've recovered a large quantity, a significant amount of Class-A drugs. Crack cocaine, heroin and money. We've also recovered weapons. This is part of our ongoing work to disrupt drugs lines and protect vulnerable people across our region."
