Drug dealer jailed after cocaine found in his socks

Adrian Domi, a 32-year-old drug dealer from Birmingham, has been sentenced to three years in prison after Staffordshire Police discovered cocaine concealed in his socks during a traffic stop. The socks containing 41 bags of the Class A drug were hidden inside the rear lining of the front passenger seat of a Ford Fiesta he was driving.

Traffic stop leads to discovery

Officers from Staffordshire Police's major and organised crime proactive team stopped Domi in the Bromford area of Birmingham on May 13 this year. During a search of the vehicle, they found two socks containing a total of 41 bags of cocaine, along with two mobile phones and £270 in cash.

Court appearance and sentence

Domi, of Marsh Lane, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine), driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving without insurance. He appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, July 10, where he was sentenced to three years in prison.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "A man has been jailed after officers found socks containing bags of cocaine in the car he was driving. Adrian Domi, aged 32, of Marsh Lane, Birmingham, appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, where he was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance."

The arrest is part of Operation Target, launched in May 2023, which aims to identify, disrupt, and pursue criminals involved in serious offences across Staffordshire, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation.
