Jet2.com has confirmed its biggest ever ski programme from Birmingham Airport, with flights to six destinations across the Alps for Winter 2027/28. The airline is putting more than 56,000 ski seats on sale, with a mix of weekend and weekday departures to France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, as well as the Tyrolean Mountains.
The new programme is designed to cater to growing demand from Midlands skiers and snowboarders, offering direct access to some of Europe's most celebrated slopes. Six Alpine destinations from Birmingham Airport
Jet2.com will serve six airports that together open up a vast range of ski resorts across the European Alps. Here is the full list for Winter 27/28:
Chambery (France) – Chambery serves as a gateway to world-famous ski resorts in the French Alps, including Courchevel, which hosted the 2023 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Up to two weekly services will operate from Birmingham on Saturdays and Sundays, giving skiers quick and easy access to some of Europe’s best slopes.
Geneva (Switzerland) – Geneva is a major gateway to popular French and Swiss resorts, including Tignes, Flaine, Verbier, Zermatt and the Three Valleys. Jet2.com will operate up to four weekly services from Birmingham on Thursdays, Sundays and twice daily on Saturdays, providing excellent flexibility for travellers.
Salzburg (Austria) – Situated on the Austrian-German border, Salzburg is a key starting point for hundreds of ski resorts, including Kaprun, Mayrhofen and Obertauern. Weekly Saturday services from Birmingham will connect the Midlands to this alpine hub.
Grenoble (France) – With more than 175 incredible ski resorts on its doorstep – including Morzine, Chamonix, Chamrousse, Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d’Huez and Avoriaz – Grenoble is a top ski destination. Weekly Saturday services are on sale from Birmingham, offering award-winning flights to this popular area.
Turin (Italy) – This Italian gateway gives skiers endless options, with top resorts such as Pila, Vars, Le Corbier and Val d’Isere easily accessible. Weekly Sunday services will operate from Birmingham to Turin, making the Italian Alps more reachable for Midlands snow fans.
Innsbruck (Austria) – Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol, is the city of choice for many snow-worshippers thanks to the incredible ski resorts right on its doorstep. Skiers and snowboarders can reach the Tyrolean capital from Birmingham with weekly Saturday services available in Winter 27/28.
Seats, baggage and flight times
The programme includes over 56,000 ski seats, with weekend and weekday flights available to suit different travel plans. Customers can choose from perfectly timed departures that allow them to hit the slopes soon after arriving.
Each fare includes a 10kg hand baggage allowance, and travellers can add hold luggage and ski carriage of up to 22kg each at great value prices. This means skiers can take all their gear without worrying about excessive baggage fees.
