New flights from East Midlands Airport to a European city named the "best in the world to visit" will start next year. Jet2 will be providing new flights from East Midlands Airport to Paris next year.
Flight Details
The airline has announced the launch of direct services from the Castle Donington airport to Paris, operating twice a week from March 2027 to October 2027. The announcement was made on Tuesday (April 21), with new services also revealed for customers flying from London Stansted and Manchester Airport.

CEO Steve Heapy said: "We are seeing continued demand for flights and holidays to Paris, with many customers wanting to book ahead and visit this iconic city. As always, we are giving customers and independent travel agents exactly what they want by launching three brand-new routes to Paris for Summer 2027. This represents a significant expansion of our programme to this incredible city, and we know the new routes will be popular with customers and independent travel agents across each airport region. We look forward to bringing even more holidaymakers to the French capital."
Paris Named Best City
In December last year Forbes ranked Paris as the best city in the world to visit in 2026. It is the fifth year in a row that the French capital has been ranked at the top of Euromonitor's rankings. Forbes said that the city, which welcomes over 18 million visitors every year, "stands out for its combination of world-class tourism infrastructure, cultural influence and sustainability initiatives".
What to See in Paris
Paris is known for its iconic landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Museum and Arc de Triomphe. The city is also home to world class museums such as the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and the Centre Pompidou. Known as the "City of Love", Paris is particularly popular among couples who can enjoy walks along the River Seine, cosy cafes and fancy restaurants.
