RAF Museum Midlands Offers Free Summer Activities for Families
RAF Museum Midlands Free Summer Fun for Families

Families seeking an affordable summer day out can enjoy free experiences at the RAF Museum Midlands, a popular aviation attraction. The museum is offering aircraft access, model making, and a parachute display to help budgets stretch further, with admission already free for all visitors.

Aircraft Access and Model Making

Visitors will have the rare opportunity to step onboard two iconic aircraft at no extra cost: the legendary Nimrod spy plane and the VC10 transport aircraft. Both will be open from July 20 to July 24, between 10.30am and 3.30pm. Additionally, children can participate in a free Airfix Spitfire model making activity, painting a model to take home. All materials are provided free of charge. Sessions run Monday to Friday throughout the summer holidays from 12.30pm to 2pm, with 20 places per session. Advance booking is recommended.

RAF Falcons Parachute Display

On August 9, the RAF Falcons parachute display team will perform at the museum around noon, followed by a meet and greet with visitors.
