Asda is expanding its on-demand food delivery service by adding more than 300 superstores to the Deliveroo platform, bringing the total number of participating locations to over 850 stores across the UK. The rollout includes extended ordering hours, with customers able to place orders through the Deliveroo app until 11pm, and select stores allowing orders as late as midnight.
Extended Hours for Late-Night Shoppers
The expansion coincides with late kick-off times during the summer football tournament, where many matches start from 11pm and run past midnight. Asda aims to help fans enjoy the games by enabling orders of groceries, drinks, and essentials during these late hours. This move makes it easier for customers to access great-value products for big match moments.
Growing Partnership with Deliveroo
Barney Burgess, Vice President for Online Grocery at Asda, said: “Our ability to offer customers a broad and ever‑growing range of services is a real strength for Asda, and expanding our partnership with Deliveroo builds on that. We’re focused on making shopping as convenient as possible, and by bringing Deliveroo to even more stores, customers can enjoy great Asda products and value delivered to their doorstep.”
Suzy McClintock, VP Consumer at Deliveroo, added: “Our expansion with Asda is a significant milestone in our continued mission to offer unmatched selection and great value groceries, delivered directly to your door. Now covering more than 850 stores and an increased range of over 10,000 products, we are bringing the ultimate convenience to more households across the UK.”
Amazon Retail Ad Service Introduction
Separately, Asda will become the first retailer outside the US to introduce Amazon Retail Ad Service to its online stores. This creates new opportunities for brands to leverage retail media and commerce media solutions at scale.
