A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Birmingham city centre on Friday night. The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on July 17 on Paradise Circus.
West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: 'We received multiple 999 calls reporting a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian at around 10.30pm on Friday, July 17. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from Midlands Air Ambulance responded. The pedestrian, a man, sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening and was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.'
Road re-opened after incident
The road was later re-opened to traffic. The man's injuries were not said to be life-threatening.
