Thousands of drivers have been caught by speed cameras on West Midlands roads this year, with data from a West Midlands Police Freedom of Information request revealing the worst speeding hotspots across Birmingham and the Black Country.

The FOI data, obtained by BirminghamLive, identified the number of speeding offences recorded so far this year across Birmingham and the four parts of the Black Country. The hotspots include Lee Bank Middleway and Belgrave Middleway in Birmingham, as well as New John Street West. In the Black Country, New Road was highlighted as a particular area of concern.
