A fault with the signalling system at Kings Norton is continuing to disrupt train services across parts of the West Midlands network on Friday morning, causing significant delays for commuters.
Reduced Services on Key Lines
West Midlands Railway has confirmed that services on the Camp Hill line are now operating to an hourly schedule due to the ongoing issue. In addition, a reduced service is running on the Cross City line, with trains running less frequently than usual.
Earlier, the operator reported that all services between Four Oaks and Redditch had been cancelled because of the same signalling problem. To assist passengers, replacement road transport has been arranged between Longbridge and Redditch.
Advice for Passengers
Passengers are strongly advised to check their journeys before travelling, as further alterations may occur throughout the morning. West Midlands Railway has stated that engineers are working to resolve the fault as quickly as possible.
We will continue to provide updates across Friday morning as more information becomes available.
