The family of a motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision near Rugeley have paid an emotional tribute to him. Jamie Mottram, 40, from Rugeley, was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash involving his motorbike and two cars on the B5013 at Hamley Heath.
Police were called at 4.15pm on Friday, May 22, following reports of the incident. Officers from Staffordshire Police attended alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Jamie was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Family's Heartfelt Tribute
In a statement released through police, Jamie's family paid tribute to him, saying: 'Our special, kind, loving Jamie was a true gentleman who adored and loved his family so much. He was a much-loved husband, son, brother and grandson who will be missed always and forever.'
They added: 'We as a family cannot even express the complete heartbreak we feel. As a family, we would like to thank everyone involved, including the emergency services and air ambulance, who stayed and tried to help our beautiful Jamie. Our thoughts are with everyone involved. We will hold Jamie close to our hearts always and forever, a beautiful, kind man with a heart of gold.'
Investigation Underway
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police.
