In response, she has called on the Government to scrap a planned fuel duty increase scheduled for later this year, arguing it would hit rural areas the hardest. She added, “The Chancellor must scrap this planned increase which hits rural areas hardest. It’s the least she can do to help local families to weather this perfect storm.”
