A spokesperson for National Highways West Midlands said: "The M6 in Warwickshire is closed in both directions between J1 Rugby and the M1/A14 junction due to a collision involving a HGV. Emergency services are on scene dealing. There are currently delays of 40 minutes on the approach."

Warwickshire Police added: "The M6 near junction 1 is likely to be closed in both directions for some time after a lorry went into the central reservation and overturned. Please avoid the area. Keep an eye on National Highways: West Midlands on X for updates."
