A man has tragically passed away in hospital after being struck by a car during a two-vehicle crash in Coventry during rush hour.

Details of the Incident

The fatal collision occurred at the exit of the roundabout where Sewell Highway meets Torcross Avenue on Tuesday, May 26. According to West Midlands Police, the victim, a man in his 60s, was crossing the road when he was hit by a car involved in the crash. He succumbed to his injuries later that same day.

Both drivers involved stopped at the scene and are cooperating with police inquiries.

Police Statement

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "A man has died following a collision in Coventry. We were called to reports of a collision between two cars on the exit of the roundabout of Sewell Highway with Torcross Avenue yesterday, shortly before 8.30am. A man, who had been crossing the road, was hit when a car crashed into another vehicle. Sadly, the man in his 60s died in hospital last night. Our thoughts remain with his loved ones and everyone who knew him. Specially trained officers are supporting his family."
