Liverpool Kings Development: 70-Storey Tower and Winter Garden

Striking new images have been released showing how the £1.2 billion Kings development on Liverpool's waterfront could look. Described as the most significant development for the city since Liverpool One, the eight-acre project will be built on land around Gibraltar Row, near the city centre.

Key Features of the Development

The ambitious plans include 10 buildings, with a 70-storey tower that would become Liverpool's tallest structure. The development is a partnership between Beetham and the TJ Morris Group, which runs the Home Bargains empire. In total, Kings will deliver 2,750 homes, 400 hotel rooms, 150,000 sq ft of office space, and 160,000 sq ft of retail and leisure facilities.

Central Plaza and Winter Garden

At the heart of the scheme will be a central plaza and a winter garden, as shown in the new visuals. The winter garden will include a 'boutique walk'. Approval has already been secured for the first building, a 28-storey structure, with a planning application expected later this year.

Beetham boss Hugh Frost said: "It's the most fantastic opportunity in the city. It's a chance to change the skyline for the better, create a really vibrant district, a neighbourhood that links the central business district with the rest of local waters and the waterfront, which is one of the city's biggest assets."

The images also show how shared spaces could look, including Residential Row at night and the upper landscape. The development aims to create a new neighbourhood that connects the city centre with the waterfront.
