Anis Hadj Moussa agent confirms Feyenoord exit after World Cup

Anis Hadj Moussa's agent has confirmed the Algeria international will leave Feyenoord after the World Cup, with Aston Villa and Newcastle United among the Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the winger.

Agent confirms exit plans

Representative Mohamed Dahman told Maghreb Foot: "Anis Hadj Moussa will play for another team, God willing." The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Eredivisie side, with Sky Sports France reporting earlier this week that discussions are 'well under way'.

Hadj Moussa, born in Paris, came through the Lens academy before moving to Belgium and then to Feyenoord in 2024, where he signed a five-year contract.

Impressive Feyenoord record

Since joining Feyenoord, Hadj Moussa has made 83 appearances, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists. Last season alone, he netted 14 goals and set up seven more in 40 games. The report also claims he liked a social media post about Aston Villa wanting to sign him and now wants to leave after the departure of Robin van Persie.

Premier League interest and transfer fee

According to Maghreb Foot, the player is 'excited' about a move to the Premier League and has turned down opportunities to play in Saudi Arabia. However, Sky Sports France said Feyenoord had no intention of letting him leave, but a fee of €35million might soften their stance.

With Algeria's World Cup campaign over following a defeat to Switzerland, in which Hadj Moussa played the last 19 minutes after coming on for Riyad Mahrez, the situation could develop quickly.

Aston Villa's need for wide reinforcements

Aston Villa are looking to strengthen in wide areas, with speculation surrounding Alysson Edward, who struggled for fitness in his first half-season after moving from Gremio, and Leon Bailey not recapturing his best form. Manager Unai Emery was forced to deploy John McGinn on the right for a large part of the season, highlighting the need for a natural winger.
