A local housing developer has raised a fantastic sum of money to support young people facing homelessness across Hertfordshire. The team at Croudace Homes hosted a special charity golf day at the Manor of Groves Golf Club to support Herts Young Homeless.
More than 100 players took to the course to participate in the competition, raising a grand total of £16,000. The vital funds will help the charity provide education, advice and direct support to vulnerable young people and their families. The money could be used to fund outreach and counselling sessions, provide essential home items, or help with rent deposits. The charity was originally founded in 1998 and directly supported 900 young people facing homelessness in 2025 alone.
Golfing for a Cause
Jonny Whitehead of Herts Young Homeless said: “This generous sum raised by Croudace Homes will go a long way in supporting our mission to prevent youth homelessness here at Herts Young Homeless. We will be able to help more young people stay safely at home, provide crisis support when there is nowhere else to turn and support 18-25 year olds through key transitions to independence.”
The developer is currently building new housing sites across the region, including developments in Cheshunt and Hitchin.
Community Commitment
Karly Williams of Croudace Homes said: “This was a brilliant opportunity to bring our team together to support a local cause. At Croudace Homes, it’s important that we not only deliver high-quality, much-needed homes but also ensure that we are doing what we can to support the local community.”
