Jollyes Pets Donates 424,000 Tins & £40k to UK Animal Charities
Jollyes donates 424k pet food tins and £40k to charities

Pet retailer Jollyes has delivered a massive festive boost to animal welfare and community groups across the UK, thanks to the generosity of its customers. The initiative has seen an incredible 424,000 tins of its Lifestage cat and dog food donated to more than 150 local charities, including food banks and rescue homes.

A Double Donation from Store Openings

Following a rapid expansion that saw the opening of six new stores in just six weeks, Jollyes revealed a further significant contribution. The company donated all £40,000 profit from the sale of the donated tins, splitting it equally between five deserving charities and community interest groups. Each organisation received a grant of £8,000 to support their crucial work with animals and people in need.

The Beneficiaries and Their Vital Missions

The five groups receiving funding are spread across the nations and regions of the UK, each with a unique focus on animal welfare and community support.

PlayforStrays, based in Northern Ireland, provides enrichment and aid to rescue animals and pets belonging to the homeless community globally. Their share will fund vehicle costs for a year and install fencing at their County Antrim sanctuary, also helping them become a backup sanctuary for birds from the pet trade.

Miracle’s Mission in Cumbria works with sick, injured, and disabled animals worldwide. The donation will allow them to neuter, vaccinate, and treat approximately 267 stray dogs, preventing thousands more from being born into harsh conditions.

Friends of Animals Wales, a small independent charity in South Wales, will use the funds for specialist veterinary treatment for their most vulnerable dogs and cats, helping them find loving forever homes.

Food Aware CIC, a social enterprise in South Yorkshire that redistributes surplus food, will use the donation for outreach to families in need, including those with pets. Jollyes already donates short shelf-life food to the group from its Cheshire depot.

Furry Tails Feline Welfare in Lancashire provides a temporary home and veterinary care for stray and unwanted cats. The funds will help cover rising veterinary costs in 2026, supporting neutering and rehoming efforts.

Gratitude and National Impact

Leaders from the beneficiary charities expressed profound thanks for the donations. David from PlayforStrays called it an "incredible generous donation" that will make an "immediate difference." Eileen Jones from Friends of Animals Wales highlighted how the gift boosts their volunteer-run team, "knowing that their work is valued."

Adam Dury, Jollyes Pets' chief executive officer designate, praised the amazing work of the organisations and the generosity of Jollyes' customers. "We know the generosity of our customers in donating tins, and the additional donations we’ve been able to make from their sale, will make a massive difference right across the country this Christmas and beyond," he said.

This combined effort of customer donations and corporate giving underscores a significant commitment to supporting community-led animal welfare and food security projects nationwide.
