Miley Cyrus has announced her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, set for release on September 18, along with two special live performances at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18. The announcement came via an Instagram post on September 1, where Cyrus shared details about the album's meaning and her excitement for fans to hear it.
In the post, Cyrus wrote: "My tenth studio album, BASS PERSUADES, is yours September 18th. Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong." She added: "Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That's what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album. ❤️ Miley"
Album Details and Tracklist
The upcoming album will feature 10 songs, including collaborations with Model/Actriz and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow. The tracklist ends with a remix of the title track. According to a teaser shared by Cyrus, the album appears to lean in a rock direction, though full details have not yet been revealed.

In addition to the album, Cyrus announced two live performances at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18. No full tour has been confirmed as of yet. Referencing her return to the stage, Cyrus wrote: "It's been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I've sat in those seats many times, but I've never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I'm bringing it home. See you there. ❤️ Miley"
Cyrus had previously stated that she was done with touring. During an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music during her Something Beautiful era, she explained that her sobriety is a key reason she avoids touring. Cyrus said: "Over the years, I've learned that sobriety is my God. I need it. I live for it. It's changed my entire life. I have certain protocols, we talked about the sobriety, that's super important to me..."
Health Considerations Behind Limited Shows
She also revealed that she has a vocal condition that makes excessive touring and singing damaging to her voice. Cyrus explained: "I had Reinke's edema, it's abuse of the vocal chords. Being 21 and staying up and drinking and smoking and partying after every show does not help but also in my case it does not cause it."
The two Hollywood Bowl performances mark a significant return for Cyrus, who has not done a proper live gig in some time. Fans can expect the album to drop worldwide on September 18, with the live shows following in October.
