West Midlands Police have issued a public appeal for information following a disturbing assault on a man and woman at a popular city centre bar in Birmingham. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, December 6th, at Katie O'Brien's Irish bar located on Temple Street, just off New Street.
Details of the Assault
According to police reports, the attack took place between midnight and 12:15am. Both victims were inside the establishment when they were allegedly assaulted by four men. The force has now released CCTV images of individuals they wish to speak with in connection with the serious incident.
CCTV Images Released
Investigators have made available several images showing four distinct individuals, all of whom are described as having facial hair. The first man appears with a trimmed beard and short brown hair, wearing what looks like a royal blue top over a white t-shirt.
The second individual has black, curly hair accompanied by a thicker beard, and is pictured in a royal blue t-shirt. A third man is described as white and bald with a substantial brown beard, also wearing royal-blue clothing with a white top draped over his shoulder.
The fourth person of interest is a white male with short brown hair and a beard, captured on camera wearing either a white or cream coloured t-shirt.
Police Statement and Appeal
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We're appealing for information after a man and woman were assaulted in a bar in Birmingham city centre. The victims were inside Katie O'Brien's bar on Temple Street when they were both assaulted by four men between midnight and 12:15am on 6 December."
The statement continued: "Following CCTV enquiries, we're now able to release the images of four people we would like to speak with in connection with the incident. If you recognise them or have any information that could help our officers investigating, get in touch with us."
