Police Launch Manhunt Following Serious Early Morning Assault in Rubery

West Mercia Police have launched a significant manhunt after a woman was seriously assaulted in an alleyway in Rubery during the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 am on April 11 in an alleyway located on Graham Crescent, which provides access to several shops on New Road.

Details of the Violent Attack

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was approached from behind by an unknown male assailant who struck her on the head. She sustained serious facial injuries as a result of the attack. Police have confirmed that, while the injuries are severe, they are not believed to be life-threatening. The woman received medical attention following the assault.

Investigators report that the suspect was wearing dark clothing and what is suspected to be a face covering at the time of the incident. "This includes anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously or in an unusual manner in the area of Graham Crescent late Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday morning."
