Midland Man Admits Filming Himself Raping Two Women and Issuing Death Threats

A man from the Midlands has confessed to a series of horrific crimes, including filming himself raping two women and threatening to kill one of them by running her over with his car. Jacob Leslie Simcock, aged 35, entered guilty pleas at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Disturbing Details of the Attacks

Simcock admitted to multiple charges related to two separate victims in north Staffordshire. The offences include two counts of rape, two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of threatening to share intimate photographs or films, one count of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour, and one count of stalking involving fear of violence.

In one incident last year, Simcock raped and strangled a victim inside a house, having previously raped the same woman in an earlier attack. During the investigation, detectives discovered he had recorded himself committing these rapes. He also threatened to share explicit videos of the victim and attempted to isolate her by preventing her from contacting anyone.

Violent Threats and Coercion

Simcock's brutality extended to verbal threats designed to intimidate and control his victims. He told one woman he would "batter" her and explicitly threatened to "run her over" with his car. In a separate attack on a second victim, he recorded himself raping her and later threatened to "petrol bomb" her house, adding to the terror she experienced.

Staffordshire Police played a crucial role in uncovering the full extent of Simcock's crimes. Officers found the disturbing videos during their investigation and informed one survivor, who was unaware of their existence at the time. This evidence was pivotal in building a strong case against the perpetrator.

Police Investigation and Victim Support

The investigation revealed that Simcock also strangled, stalked, and threatened to share indecent images of the second woman last year. He attempted to coerce her into telling detectives that she had been lying about the assaults. Despite these efforts to obstruct justice, police worked diligently to support both survivors and gather the necessary evidence to secure charges.

Faced with overwhelming evidence in court, Simcock pleaded guilty, although he had initially denied the offences during police interviews. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on July 9, 2026.

Statements from Law Enforcement

Detective Constable Adele Thompson and investigative officer Janine Shropshire issued a joint statement praising the courage of the victims. They said, "Simcock inflicted a great deal of pain and suffering on the two brave women who have shown tremendous courage in coming forward. We're pleased we've been able to build all of the evidence needed to secure this conviction as early as possible. I hope it now provides them some form of comfort knowing he is behind bars and awaiting sentencing."

Simcock, from Tunstall in Stoke-on-Trent, now awaits his sentencing, with the court expected to consider the severity of his actions, including the filming of the attacks and the explicit threats made against the victims.
