Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman's body at a property in the Black Country.

West Midlands Police were called to an address on Barncroft Road in Oldbury in the early hours of Sunday, December 21. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who was unresponsive. Despite immediate efforts by emergency medical teams, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the discovery. He remains in police custody for questioning as detectives work to piece together the events that led to the woman's death.
