Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing that left a 19-year-old man in critical condition in Oldbury. The incident occurred on Market Street on Thursday afternoon, July 2, and the victim remains hospitalized in a critical state.
Arrests Made Overnight
West Midlands Police confirmed that the arrests were made overnight. Two 17-year-old boys and one 18-year-old man are currently in custody. The force stated that the trio is being held on suspicion of attempted murder as investigations continue.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Three people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Oldbury. Two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were arrested overnight by officers investigating an assault on a 19-year-old man in Market Street on 2 July. The three remain in custody today on suspicion of attempted murder while our investigation continues."
Victim's Condition and Investigation
The victim, who has not been named, remains in a critical condition in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
