Two residents of Penkridge have been taken into custody following a significant police operation that uncovered a substantial cache of illegal substances and cash in the South Staffordshire area.
Morning Raid on Wolgarston Way
Officers from shift one of the South Staffordshire local policing team executed a raid at a property located off Wolgarston Way in Penkridge. The operation commenced at approximately 9:30 am on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
During the search, police discovered a considerable quantity of drugs, including around 200 snap bags of cannabis. Additionally, officers found suspected Class A drugs, numerous canisters believed to contain nitrous oxide, and a sum of cash.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Penkridge, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. They currently remain in police custody as investigations continue.
South Staffordshire local policing team commander, Lee Walker, commented on the operation, stating: "We have been able to seize a large quantity of illegal substances and get them out of circulation, protecting the communities of South Staffordshire."
Commander Walker further emphasised the force's commitment: "I hope this demonstrates how we are determined to tackle the supply of drugs in our communities and we will continue to do all we can to get them off our streets."
