Police have launched a public appeal for information following a series of linked break-ins at residential properties in Oldbury, with thieves making off with house keys, car keys, and cash.
Homes Targeted in Early Hours Raid
The incidents all occurred in the early hours of Sunday, November 2. The first reported break-in took place at around 3:30 am at an address on Willow Drive in the Black Country town.
During this raid, intruders stole house keys and car keys from the property. They also took cash from a vehicle at the address.
Linked Attempts on Nearby Streets
West Midlands Police have confirmed that two other nearby houses were targeted in a similar fashion on the same night, between 3:30 am and 5:00 am.
A suspect attempted to gain entry by trying to open the front doors of properties on Waterside Crescent and St Brades Close.
Appeal to Recognise Distinctive Clothing
Investigators have now released an image of a person they urgently wish to speak to in connection with all three incidents. The picture shows a man wearing a hooded top, with a covering over his face.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We know the suspect’s face isn’t visible, but we’re hoping someone may have information given his distinctive clothing."
The force is asking the public: "Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him after a series of addresses were targeted on the same night in Oldbury."
Anyone with information is urged to contact police via Live Chat on the force website or by calling 101, quoting the reference number 20/429731/25.
