Police Seek Cyclist Assaulted in Wolverhampton

West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man believed to be the victim of an assault in Wolverhampton, urging the public to help identify him to ensure his wellbeing.

Incident on Connaught Road

The blurry image shows a cyclist in dark grey clothing, captured in connection with an incident on Connaught Road that occurred around midday on Friday, 29 May. Officers are keen to locate the man to confirm he is 'safe and well'.

Police Appeal

A force spokesperson said: 'We're asking for your help to identify this man who we believe was the victim of an assault in Wolverhampton. Following CCTV enquiries after the incident on Connaught Road, we would like to speak to the man in the image as we want to ensure that he is safe and well. He looks to be wearing a dark grey co-ord or tracksuit, with dark trainers and had dark short hair and dark facial hair.'

Arrest Made

Officers have arrested a man on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. The suspect has been bailed as investigations continue. Police are now focusing on identifying the victim to gather more details.
