A man in his 30s has died following a motorbike crash on Powke Lane in Rowley Regis, Sandwell, on Saturday, August 15. The rider struck multiple cars before coming off his bike, according to West Midlands Police. Emergency services were called to the scene near the junction with Yewtree Lane at just after 8.45pm, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes have since been left at the roadside, including flowers, cards, and pictures of the victim, who has been named locally as Darren. One card is addressed to 'dad' and sits beside a photo of a man, while another reads: "To my darling son. I gave you your 1st kiss, your 1st cuddle and I was the 1st person to love you." The tributes paint a picture of a beloved family man, and the community has been left in shock by the sudden loss.
