Tributes to 'darling boy', 19, killed in motorbike crash

The family of a 19-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash in Trumpington has paid tribute to their “darling boy”. Holton Knott, from Chatteris, was injured in a collision on the A1309 High Street at around 8.50pm on August 11 and died in hospital the following day.

Emergency services attended the scene, where a black Honda motorbike and a silver Jaguar XF had collided. Knott was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Jaguar, a 69-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and has been bailed until November 11.

Family’s heartfelt tribute

In a statement released through Cambridgeshire Police, Knott’s parents expressed their grief and gratitude. They said: “On the evening of August 11, we received the unimaginable news that our darling boy was involved in a horrific accident.”
