Police are urgently appealing for information after a woman was confronted by a knife-wielding man on Shoal Hill Common in Cannock. The incident occurred on Monday, June 29, when the suspect approached the woman and attempted to seize her before she managed to escape without injury.
Incident Details
Officers received a report at 2:30pm that same day, stating that the woman had been walking on Shoal Hill Common, off New Penkridge Road, earlier that morning when a man brandishing a knife approached her. The suspect then tried to grab the woman, but she was able to flee and was not harmed.
The suspect is described as Asian, approximately 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black jumper, and white trainers. Police are treating the incident with the utmost seriousness and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen a man matching the description in the area around the time of the attack.
