Liam Gallagher's foul-mouthed reply to Glastonbury 2027 rumours

Liam Gallagher has dismissed speculation that Oasis will headline Glastonbury 2027, responding with an expletive-laden message aimed at festival-goers. The band had been tipped to return to the Pyramid Stage next year following the success of their Live 25 Tour, but the frontman has now firmly ruled it out.

The rumours began when a fan account posted on X: “According to The Scotsman, Oasis are among the favourites to headline Glastonbury 2027, with odds of 4/1. Could we see them return to the Pyramid Stage?” The post caught Liam's attention, prompting him to reply: “It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving shit c***s can calm the f**k down.”

Oasis and Glastonbury: a strained relationship

Oasis headlined Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004, but since then both Liam and his brother Noel have been critical of the festival. Liam previously likened the main stage to 'playing to a load of jamboree teachers', while Noel said it was 'getting a bit woke now'.

The latest denial follows a period of renewed interest in the band, sparked by the success of their Live 25 Tour, which began in Cardiff in July last year. Despite the tour's popularity, a Glastonbury return appears off the table, according to Liam's statement.

Upcoming documentary offers Oasis fix

While fans may be disappointed by the Glastonbury news, they will soon have a new way to experience the band. A documentary titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger is set for release in cinemas on September 9, and will also be available on Disney Plus.

The film follows the Gallagher brothers on the Live 25 Tour and has been described as 'an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025'. It includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access, plus the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in more than 20 years.

With the documentary offering an inside look at the tour, fans can expect a detailed portrayal of the band's recent reunion, even if a Glastonbury appearance is not on the horizon.
