Wolverhampton Pride returns on June 6, drawing thousands to West Park for a celebration of diversity and inclusion. The free event begins with a parade through the city, starting at Bell Square on Victoria Street at 1pm today.
Parade Route and Road Closures
Organizers urge spectators to line the streets, wave flags, and cheer as the parade passes along Lichfield Street, Wulfruna Street, past the Wolverhampton City Archives, and onto Waterloo Road, where the accessible route begins. The parade then continues along Newhampton Road East, down Lansdowne Road, and into the park.
Motorists face temporary road closures between 12pm and 3pm to accommodate the parade. Affected roads include St Peters Square, Park Road East, Lansdowne Road, Newhampton Road East, Lich Gates, Park Avenue, Lichfield Street, Waterloo Road, Wulfruna Street, and Cheapside. Diversion routes are available online.
