Love Island fans are convinced they witnessed the exact moment Seán Fitzgerald gave Lola Deal “the ick” during a heated argument over his decision to clear the air with fellow islander Julia Mayska. The couple, who were the first to go exclusive this series and have been declaring their love for each other, now face uncertainty as tensions rise just days before the final.
Row Over Julia Triggers Tension
The disagreement stems from Julia’s interest in Seán during Casa Amor. Although Seán remained loyal, Lola was furious that Julia approached him for flirtatious chats. Lola argued that since Seán was the only “closed off” boy, Julia had questionable morals for pursuing him. Julia countered that as a Casa bombshell, it was her job to test heads, and suggested Lola’s anger should be directed at Seán for wanting a “test” to confirm his feelings.

Despite Lola’s plea, Julia approached Seán for a chat, which he saw as a “win-win” situation because he could clear the air without crossing Lola’s boundary of him initiating the conversation. Lola disagreed, telling Seán it was “the same difference.” She said: “Semantics, so you still talked to her. But you wanted to do that, so you did you and that’s not me from holding you back from doing you. But I would have handled things differently.”
As Lola spoke, Seán leant back, put his arm over his face, and rolled his eyes several times. Fans quickly seized on this gesture, with one writing on X: “We might have just watched Sean get the ick from Lola.” Another commented: “The face of a man who realised his scam wasn’t worth it.” A third added: “No Sean rolling his eyes as Lola rants..he regrets picking her, Robyn was right there.”
