Snoopy Trail Coming to Birmingham Summer 2026

Birmingham city centre will welcome a new public art trail featuring Snoopy, the beloved cartoon beagle, from Thursday July 9 to Tuesday September 1, 2026. The trail, organised by Central BID Birmingham in partnership with Peanuts and art producer Wild in Art, consists of 12 brightly painted doghouse sculptures, each designed by a local artist.

Trail Details and Fundraising

The Snoopy in Birmingham trail will be free to follow, with printed and digital maps available from the Central BID Birmingham website from July 9. The sculptures will be placed at locations including New Street Station, Great Western Arcade, Piccadilly Arcade, Grand Central, Bullring, Selfridges, Burlington Arcade, John Bright Street, Mailbox, Birmingham Town Hall, Corporation Street, and Staybridge Suites.

The trail aims to raise funds for Acorns Children's Hospice, a Midlands-based charity providing specialist palliative nursing care and support for children and their families. An Acorns spokesperson said: "We're delighted to be working with Central BID Birmingham on the Snoopy's Summer Trail. Partnerships like this bring communities together in a fun and engaging way, while also helping to raise awareness of the vital care Acorns Children's Hospice provides to local children and families."

Community and Family Focus

Sam Watson, Chair of Central BID Birmingham, commented: "It's wonderful to bring the Snoopy trail to Birmingham as he's such a well-loved and world-renowned character with a special place in many people's hearts. These free sculpture trails are a great way for families and other visitors to explore central Birmingham and see all that it has to offer."

The trail follows the success of previous Central BID trails, including the annual Reindeer Trail at Christmas and the We're Going on a Bear Hunt trail. It also coincides with the 75th anniversary of Snoopy's first appearance in the Peanuts comic strip. Fun quizzes on the maps will keep young minds active.

Support for Acorns Children's Hospice

Money raised will support Acorns' services, including short breaks for children at its hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end-of-life care, and bereavement support. The charity operates a network of care in hospices, communities, and homes across the Midlands.
