Bec Zachariah Lands New Job as Agony Aunt After MAFS Firing

Bec Zachariah, known for her explosive behaviour on Married At First Sight Australia 2026, has revealed a surprising new career move after being fired from her original job as an account manager. The controversial bride, who made it to Final Vows with husband Danny, announced on social media that she has landed a role as an agony aunt columnist for Australian news outlet The Tiser.

From Controversy to Advice Column

In a video announcement, Bec said: "Hi guys, it's Bec Zachariah. As you probably all watched, and you all know, I have been through the absolute wringer on a rollercoaster throughout my time on MAFS. But I've also learned a lot along the way. And now I want to help you." She invited followers with relationship, friend or family problems to reach out for advice.

Losing Her Job After the Show

Bec previously revealed that her behaviour on the show, including texting scandals and "vulgar" jokes, led to her dismissal from her job as an account manager. Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, she said: "After my abhorrent behaviour at dinner party three was aired, my employer, the very next day, suggested I don’t come back after MAFS had finished airing. I declined. A week later, I was informed I didn’t have an option to stay and was dismissed from my workplace!"

On a podcast, she addressed rumours of being coached during filming: "I was not being coached. I actually wish I was because my life would be in a lot less tatters than it is now."

Other Contestants Affected

Reports also suggested that fellow contestant Gia was told not to return to her job, and fashion model Brook was dropped by a fashion label, though Brook has denied this. It remains unclear if Bec's new column is a long-term position, but it offers a fresh start for the series 13 bride.
