Soccer Aid 2026: Danny Dyer Rubs Tom Hanks' Head and GK Barry Scolds Hollywood Stars Live on Air
Soccer Aid 2026 fans were left stunned after a series of unexpected backstage interactions involving Hollywood icon Tom Hanks, his Toy Story co-star Tim Allen, internet personality GK Barry, and former EastEnders star Danny Dyer. The charity football match, which aired on ITV, saw England take on the World XI in a star-studded event. However, it was the pre-match chaos that stole the spotlight.
As GK Barry prepared to interview Hanks and Allen backstage, the two actors were chatting behind her. Barry paused and said, "Excuse me, we're live on air," prompting apologies from the Hollywood duo. Moments later, Danny Dyer appeared and rubbed both actors' heads, remarking, "A couple of boats here." Hanks responded by shouting, "Rub my head again! Good luck!"
The surreal scene continued when Allen could be heard muttering in the background as Barry tried to hand back to presenters Dermot O'Leary and Alex Scott. Barry noted, "And he [Allen] just called me a 'he'," before turning back to laugh with the actor.
ITV viewers took to social media to express their disbelief. One fan wrote on X: "Omgggg!!! Tom and Tim?!!!" while another described the moment as "amazing." A third commented: "Love Tom Hanks and Tim Allen on Soccer Aid." Another viewer posted: "Danny Dyer rubbing Tom Hanks' head," followed by star-eyed emojis.
One particularly amused fan wrote: "GK Barry telling off Tom Hanks and Tim Allen for talking while she's presenting and Danny Dyer crashing in and rubbing Hanks' head is frying me???" Others highlighted Allen's misgendering of Barry, with one remarking: "Wow that was awful fair play to GK for keeping that kind of together."
Soccer Aid 2026 is available to watch on ITVX.
