If you have walked past SushiDog in the Bullring and wondered if it is worth trying, but hesitated to spend your money on something unfamiliar, there is now a chance to taste it for free.
What is SushiDog?
SushiDog is a fusion concept that combines the format of a burrito with sushi. Instead of a tortilla, the wrap is made from sushi nori. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with hot dogs. Prices start at around £7.95 for a tofu-filled roll, with the spicy kimchi tuna option costing £10.25. Rice bowls are also available at slightly higher prices. Sides include tater tots with Asian-inspired toppings, edamame, and other snacks. The rolls are designed for grab-and-go shopping, though there are a few tables outside the restaurant.
How to Get a Free SushiDog
SushiDog is celebrating its birthday on Thursday, May 28. The first 144 customers who visit between 3pm and 5pm will receive a free SushiDog. This offer applies to the Bullring store as well as London locations, but Birmingham is the only participating store in the Midlands.
To claim the free item, you must download the SushiDog app and log in before joining the queue. You will then receive a token that can be redeemed for a SushiDog, sushi bowl, or sushi salad, with one protein and avocado included. Drinks, mochi, and cookies can be purchased separately.
Important Terms and Conditions
Before heading to the store, check the app for full terms. Key points include: you must stay in the queue, you cannot choose the 'build your own' option, and you cannot upgrade the product. Other vouchers or loyalty points cannot be used, tokens cannot be exchanged for cash, and screenshots will not be accepted.
