Lululemon has officially confirmed that it will open its doors at Birmingham Bullring on Friday, May 15, following months of anticipation. The athleisure brand has been transforming the former Arket store, located just outside the entrance to the Selfridges side of the shopping centre.
The announcement of the opening date came during the weekend of the Great Birmingham Run, as athletes and casual runners celebrated in the city. The brand had previously announced its plans to move into the Bullring back in January.
The new store spans an impressive 5,700 square feet and is expected to carry Lululemon's full range of premium leisurewear, including workout clothing, yoga outfits, and technical gear. On Saturday, May 2, a Lululemon DJ popped up outside the new unit, still covered in hoarding, to hype up visitors in the city. The Great Birmingham Run saw 18,000 runners cross the finish line to collect a special Birmingham medal.
When it opens, Lululemon will join a host of new additions to the centre for 2026, including Moida, Victoria's Secret, Podur, Subdued, and Sushidog. Lovisa is still set to reopen in its new unit on the lower ground floor, though Claire's Accessories has now closed. Outside, the former Oakberry kiosk has been removed, adding more space outside Hollister, which moved back into the Bullring during the Christmas holidays.
Shoppers are still eagerly awaiting confirmation of a branch of Stradivarius, though nothing has been confirmed yet. We will share more details on the Lululemon opening as they become available.
