A simple McDonald's money-saving hack could bag you an extra Chicken Select and save you 51p. The trick, shared by money-saving expert Jordon Cox, known as Britain's Coupon King, has gone viral on social media.
How the hack works
Instead of buying the standard three-piece Chicken Selects for around £5.49, customers order two 'Wrap of the Day' items, each costing £2.49. They then ask to remove everything except the chicken – including the wrap, lettuce, and sauces. Each wrap contains two pieces of the same chicken used in Selects, so the trick yields four pieces for just £4.98.
Customer reactions
The strategy has been widely praised online. One user called it a 'VERY good hack', while another said 'Love this'. A third joked: 'Mans out here doing gods work.' However, some believe the loophole may close soon. One cautioned: 'They'll be closing up this loophole as we speak.' Others noted that eating the wraps as they are could be even better value, but for those who want only the chicken, the hack offers a cheaper way to get more.
McDonald's new menu
The tip comes as McDonald's prepares to launch a new UK menu from 27 April. New items include spicy twists on breakfast classics, additional Sprite Zero flavours, and the return of popular choices like the Big Tasty and Biscoff McFlurry.
