Merry Hill shopping centre has announced that pop culture brand MINISO will open in the space previously occupied by Game, which closed last month after the gaming retailer entered administration. The new store is expected to open soon, though no official date has been confirmed yet.
What MINISO Will Offer
The hoarding installed outside the store reveals that MINISO will sell collectibles, toys, beauty products, and snacks. Popular brands available include Hello Kitty and Friends, Disney, Stitch, Harry Potter, My Little Pony, Sylvanian Families, and Vinyl Plush, as well as popular 'blind boxes'.
Opening Promotion
To celebrate the opening, MINISO will offer a free goody bag worth £25 with any purchase of £5 or more, while stocks last. The exact opening date has yet to be announced.

Merry Hill shared images of the MINISO hoarding on TikTok, prompting enthusiastic reactions from shoppers. One user commented: 'I've literally just screamed, I'm so happy. I've been begging to go to the Miniso in Birmingham, now I can just go to Merry Hill when it's there.' Another wrote: 'OMG yes!'
Existing West Midlands Locations
MINISO already operates three stores in the West Midlands: two in Birmingham at the Bullring and Grand Central, and one at Telford Shopping Centre. The new Merry Hill store will be the fourth in the region.

The arrival of MINISO follows a series of new openings at the centre, including eateries Original Patty Co. and Ben & Jerry's. Matalan has undergone a major refurbishment, Superdrug is expanding into the former HMV store, and Popeyes is set to open a new restaurant on the retail park. Merry Hill has been approached for comment about the MINISO opening.
