Sir Rod Stewart has confirmed that his upcoming tour, The Final Encore, will be his last, bringing his six-decade career to a close. The tour includes a performance at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Tuesday, May 4, 2027.
The announcement came on September 28, 2026, with tickets going on sale in stages starting with a fan club presale on Tuesday, September 29. O2 Priority customers can purchase tickets from Wednesday, September 30, while Live Nation presales begin on Thursday, October 1. General sale opens on Friday, October 2 at 10am via Ticketmaster.
Farewell After Six Decades
In a statement, Rod Stewart said: "My dear friends, the time has come to say farewell to life on the road. After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last."
He added: "I’ve been singing the music I love since I was 19 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of taking it around the world to all of you. It has given me a life beyond anything I could ever have imagined, and I hope I’ve given you some fond memories in return."
Stewart, one of the bestselling artists in recorded music history, will play some of the UK and Europe's largest arenas. The tour begins on April 23, 2027 at Dublin's 3Arena, with dates at The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, and Uber Arena in Berlin, among others. The final show is scheduled for July 24, 2027 at Hannover's ZAG Arena.
Support and Setlist Highlights
Support for the UK and EIRE dates comes from synth-pop pioneer Howard Jones. He will deliver a high-energy set featuring hits like 'What Is Love?' and 'Things Can Only Get Better'.
The Final Encore will feature Stewart's classics, including 'Maggie May,' 'You Wear It Well,' 'Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright),' 'Hot Legs,' 'Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,' 'Young Turks,' 'Baby Jane,' 'Infatuation,' 'Forever Young,' 'You’re in My Heart (The Final Acclaim),' 'Some Guys Have All the Luck,' 'Rhythm of My Heart,' 'The First Cut Is the Deepest,' 'Sailing,' 'Have I Told You Lately' and many more.
