Birmingham Airport Launches New Direct Flights to Cairo

Birmingham Airport (BHX) has announced new direct flights to Cairo, a sunny destination described as having "incredible history." The service, operated by EGYPTAIR, will run four days a week starting Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This marks the airport's first and only direct connection to Cairo, expanding its Egyptian network alongside existing routes to Hurghada (HRG) and Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH).

Passengers booking for October will be among the first to travel on EGYPTAIR's new Boeing 737 Max 8, which features "a quiet and spacious cabin" designed to "enhance the flying experience" and offer "a more comfortable journey," according to the airline.
