Tesco, which operates stores in Birmingham, has announced a nationwide discount on delivery slots for next Tuesday (May 12) and Wednesday (May 13). The supermarket chain is reducing prices on standard and Click+Collect slots, with some dropping as low as £1.
Discounted Delivery Slots
Typically, standard delivery slots cost between £3 and £7, while Tesco Click+Collect slots range from £0 to £2. However, for two days only, customers across the UK can secure slots at significantly reduced rates. A Tesco spokesperson confirmed: "Tesco customers can snap up nationwide discounted delivery slots next week, with prices dropping to as low as £1.00."
Promotion Details
On Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13, Tesco will reduce all 1-hour delivery slots to £2.00, while 4-hour and flexi saver slots will cost just £1.00. Every slot throughout both days is included in the promotion. The discounted slots are live now and available to book via Tesco.com and the Tesco app.
Aldi Price Match Expansion
In related news, Tesco is extending its popular Aldi Price Match scheme to more than 2,000 Express convenience stores. This means that shoppers at Tesco Express can now choose from a range of products price-matched to Aldi, offering better value with the convenience of a local store.
The investment marks the biggest expansion of Tesco’s Aldi Price Match scheme since its launch in May 2020. Among the everyday essentials that customers will find price-matched at Express stores are Tesco Penne Pasta Quills 500g, two-pint bottles of Tesco semi-skimmed milk, and Tesco whole iceberg lettuce.
In total, more than 200 products will be available on Aldi Price Match in Tesco Express stores, although the range will vary by store depending on size and location. Products will display the distinctive Aldi Price Match logo at the shelf edge so customers can easily identify which items are matched.
