A man and a woman have been taken to hospital with injuries following a serious two-car collision outside a Marks & Spencer store in Birmingham.
Emergency Response on Longbridge High Street
The incident occurred on Longbridge High Street at 2.36pm on Tuesday, December 16. Emergency services, including two ambulances, three paramedic officers and a critical care car, were dispatched to the scene following reports of a collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that crews treated a male pedestrian for potentially serious injuries at the scene. He was then transported under emergency conditions with blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Injuries and Ongoing Police Enquiries
A woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, also received treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be serious, and she was conveyed to the same hospital for further assessment.
West Midlands Police attended the scene shortly after the collision was reported. A police spokesperson stated that the man's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The driver of one of the cars involved remained at the location and is assisting officers with their ongoing enquiries.
