Vodafone has announced a major expansion of its home broadband offering, launching Vodafone 5G Broadband and extending full-fibre-like speeds to an additional 3.7 million homes across the United Kingdom.
By integrating its existing full fibre infrastructure with its rapidly expanding 5G network, Vodafone can now deliver full fibre or full-fibre-like speeds to over 26 million homes, surpassing any other provider in the UK. For the 3.7 million households still reliant on slow and unreliable part-fibre or copper connections, this marks the first time they have access to a genuinely high-speed alternative.
Vodafone 5G Broadband comes with no upfront costs, no engineer visits, no need for a landline, and no complex installation. Customers can enjoy speeds of up to 150Mbps, which is three times faster than a typical part-fibre connection, along with unlimited data on every plan, providing enough bandwidth for the entire family.
The launch underscores VodafoneThree's commitment to connecting every community as part of its £11 billion investment to build the UK's best network. By combining the Vodafone and Three networks, the 5G footprint will rapidly expand nationwide. With Vodafone's existing full fibre footprint covering 23.2 million homes, the largest of any UK provider, Vodafone now offers powerful broadband to more households than any other provider.
For homes where outdoor 5G signal is stronger than indoors, Vodafone will soon introduce an outdoor hub that requires self-installation outside the property. This hub locks onto the strongest available 5G signal and connects directly to the indoor Power Hub router, ensuring a consistent connection throughout the home, even in rural areas.
Pricing starts at £21 per month on a 24-month plan (up to 50Mbps) or £30 per month on a 30-day rolling plan (up to 50Mbps), with no upfront costs. Existing Vodafone mobile customers can save £2 per month through Vodafone Together, which offers discounts when bundling mobile and broadband services.
Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director at VodafoneThree, stated: "Millions of households are still paying over the odds for unreliable and slow broadband that often only reaches 74Mbps. With Vodafone 5G Broadband, we are giving those homes a genuinely fast alternative at great value, with no installation, no waiting, and no hassle. As the UK's largest full fibre provider, we already bring fast, reliable broadband to more homes than anyone else. By adding 5G Broadband, we can now reach millions more. This launch is about giving customers real choice: full fibre where it is available, and powerful 5G Broadband where it is not, plus better options for anyone wanting speed with ease and flexibility."
